Zappa first recorded "Love of my life" as a single in 1963. It's included as a bonus in the "Greasy love songs" CD by the ZFT. "Cruising with Ruben and the Jets" contains the easy doo-wop version of this song. The opening of the later "Tinsel town rebellion" version of "Love of my life" is included in the Cucamonga section of this study.
