Racer X의 두 번째 작품 Second Heat는 데뷔 앨범 Street Lethal보다 훨씬 나아졌다. 전작 때만해도 Paul Gilbert는 Yngwie Malmsteen처럼 자신의 연주에 무게를 두고 진행을 해 나갔는데, 후속작에서는 그러한 면모는 다소 지양되고 있다.
