He first started playing the guitar while hanging out and working at the Larry McElheny Surf Design surf shop in Sunset Beach.. then it later became the Bruce Jones surf shop and he loved hanging out front and playing guitar for people right there in Sunset.

That his daughter ( bass player) and neice singer performed at his memorial with their band that Mike was Engineering and Producing earlier this year. It’s an Honor and Somber as well.
