11 de feb. de 2007 · I have seen Boingo in concert 3 times and they are one of my all-time favorite bands. This brings back memories of growing up listening to Boingo. Elfman is a genuis and has transformed into a great composer. If you are new to Oingo Boingo I would say get Skeletons in the Closet and enjoy their hits from their early years.
A pair of Oingo Boingo collections surfaced during the '90s, 1992's Best O' Boingo and 1999's double-disc Anthology, as were a pair of anthologies of Elfman's film scores: 1990's Music for a Darkened Theater, Vol. 1: Film & Television Music and 1996's Music for a Darkened Theater, Vol. 2: Film & Television Music. ~ Greg Prato
Gli Oingo Boingo sono stati un gruppo musicale statunitense di musica new wave, formato nel 1972 con il nome The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo da Richard Elfman. Alle origini gli (Mystic Knights Of The) Oingo Boingo erano un'orchestra di otto strumentisti dedito a piece per il teatro d'avanguardia. Originari di Los Angeles e capitanati dal cantante Danny Elfman, esordirono con un omonimo EP nel 1980, sul quale figuravano due brani destinati a rimanere classici: il rock and roll di Only A Lad e lo ska-metal di Ain't This The Life.
