Pupils also need to complete a thirty-minute extended writing task, either at Uppingham School, when attending for interview, or separately, as required. For overseas candidates facing considerable travel to attend the school for the interview and written assessment, it is possible to sit this element remotely.

Adjacent to the school’s main playing fields, Brooklands facilities include floodlit football / tennis court, a croquet lawn and fives courts. The house is home to 55 boys aged 13 to 18. In the Fourth Form and Lower Fifth they sleep in small year-group dormitories.

For the academic year 2024-2025 at Uppingham School, the fee structure is as follows: Registration Fee: £200 (non-refundable, payable on registration) Acceptance Deposit: £1,500 (payable for each pupil on acceptance of a place) Overseas Deposit: £15,993 (for pupils resident outside the UK)
