Never before released, this 74-minute CD contains 12 tracks recorded live during two gigs at the Montmartre jazz club in Copenhagen in 1965 and 1966. Except for one original composition by Webster, the repertoire on the CD consists of standards, almost half of which are ballads.

When Danish drummer Alex Riel had his 70th birthday in September 2010, the legendary Copenhagen jazz club, Jazzhus Montmartre, decided to celebrate the occasion since it was here that Riel began his career in the early 1960s.
Played with traditional jazz bands 1957-1960, as house drummer at Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen 1963-1965, in Erik Moseholm's trio 1964-1967 and the Danish Radiojazzgruppen 1965-1968. He also played with the rock group Savage Rose 1968-1972, and later worked with Six Winds and other groups.
