History. The album continued a trend towards album-oriented material authored and sung by Felix Cavaliere, begun with the band's Freedom Suite album earlier in the year. As the 1960s ended, the Rascals were slipping down the charts and Eddie Brigati was soon to leave the group during the recording of their next release, Search and Nearness, their final album for Atlantic Records.
The Rascals' discography is diverse, with numerous compilations.Their early—and primary—output was all recorded on Atlantic Records and produced with Arif Mardin.After the band left Atlantic in 1971, they recorded two albums for Columbia with various line-ups other than the original four members of the group.

Premier des coffrets de cette collection "Original Album Series" que j'ai acheté, j'avoue avoir dans un premier temps été assez déçu par un conditionnement des plus basiques : 5 CDs sous pochettes carton ne comportant que la reproduction de la couverture et du dos de chaque album, le tout sous coffret des plus rudimentaires.
