David Robinson played 14 seasons for the Spurs. He averaged 21.1 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.5 assists in 987 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 10 All-Star games. He won the Rookie of the Year award, 1 Defensive Player of the Year award, 1 MVP award and 2 NBA championships. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009.

David Robinson, known as The Admiral because of his service in the US Navy, is considered one of the greatest centers to ever play basketball. Robinson enrolled at the US Naval Academy in 1983, when he was not recruited by major basketball schools. While at Annapolis, he grew from 198 cm (6-6) to 216 cm (7-1), and became a force as a center.
