The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, formerly the Webber Douglas School of Singing and Dramatic Art, was a drama school, and originally a singing school, in London. It was one of the leading drama schools in Britain, and offered comprehensive training for those intending to pursue a professional performance career.

Her first film appearance was in Gaslight (1944) as Ingrid Bergman's conniving maid, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination. Among her other films are The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) and Beauty and the Beast (1991).

Rupert Evans. Self: 'Hellboy': The Seeds of Creation. Having graduated from Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, Rupert Evans started his career working mainly in television. Notably in British costume dramas such as 'Sons & Lovers' starring Sarah Lancashire and Hugo Speer, North and South, 'Crime and Punishment' and 'Fingersmith' with Imelda Staunton and Charles Dance.
Jonny McPherson. Actor: Night Owls. English actor Jonny McPherson was born in Kingston-Upon-Thames on 4th January 1982, the son of Montessori Principal Wendy Patricia McPherson and Medeas Andreas Panagi, a London-born Greek Cypriot. Raised by his mother in rural Norfolk, he gained a scholarship to study at Rugby School before moving to London to train at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
