WrestleMania X-Seven: The end of the Monday Night Wars and the Attitude Era. WrestleMania X8 was the last Mania under the WWF banner. WrestleMania XIX saw "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the face of the Attitude Era and WWE, work his final match (lingering injuries from the botched piledriver in '97 is partly to blame).

WrestleMania 17 was the 17th annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on April 1, 2001, at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, Texas. It was the first WrestleMania held in the state of Texas. Twelve matches were contested at the event, including one broadcast exclusively on the Sunday Night Heat pre-show.

It took place on April 1, 2001 at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, Texas. The event was the first WrestleMania held in the state of Texas. A record-breaking attendance for the Reliant Astrodome of 67,925 grossed US$3.5 million.
