These publications have based their conclusions on surveys of groups such as college admissions oficers, the Carnegie Foundation, the Institute for Educational Leadership at George Washington University, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Welcome to William A. Shine – Great Neck South High School!!! Home of the REBELS!!! The South High School community is a cooperative and encouraging environment in which we strive to ensure that the students have an educational experience that develops their minds, character and physical well-being.
We are confident our students are continuing to create a high school experience that will give them many positive memories to look back on throughout their life. I thank our faculty, staff, parents, guardians, and community for all of the assistance, guidance, and support you have given South High throughout the school year.
The end of the 23-24 school year is fast approaching. The close of a school year can be a busy time for our students and faculty as they prepare for regents and final exams. We encourage all of our students to continue to work hard and remain focused on their success.
Great Neck School District’s one-to-one iPad initiative and its provision of wi-fi hotspots in the community allowed for a continuation of instruction consistent with the rigorous expectations and high standards to which all Great Neck students are accustomed.
