  1. It's a damn shame this album and the original Wizzo Band album didn't garner more traction. The performances are incredible and deserve to be heard! From the various recordings I've heard, my favorite has to be the rendition of "Another Wrong Night", you can hear Roy and the band giving their all into the performance!!

  5. Super Active Wizzo. Super Active Wizzo is the only album by the short-lived Wizzo Band, formed by Roy Wood in 1977 to fulfill his more jazz -oriented ambitions. [2] The band also released the two singles "The Stroll", preceding the album, and "Dancin’ at the Rainbow’s End". Neither singles nor album charted and the band split up in 1978.

  7. Roy Wood made music for a cartoonish world of high action and much camp. Every genre mashed together with heavy quotations around the lot. Was he serious, or what? Matters not one bit. Wizzo adds a bit of funk, jazz and country to Roy's kitchen-sink approach. Sounds terrible on paper, but it works very well in practice.
