It would have been fine to hear more recordings by George McCurn. While he had a wonderful voice, when this material was recorded, McCurn was in his early 40's and so probably didn't appeal to the younger record buyers, as did, for example, Sam Cooke (who also started singing in the Spiritual Music field).
