This is spelled incorrectly. It is Gurls, not Girls. The Bangles did this one well. Sometimes I can't decide whether I prefer Big Star's original ramshackle version or the Bangles' more polished version. They're both good. The Bangles, of course, had to change all of the "gurls" (except for the title song phrase) to "boys" here.
