Bad Lieutenant es una banda de rock alternativo inglesa formada el 2007. La banda está integrada por los miembros de New Order, Bernard Sumner y Phil Cunningham y Jake Evans, de Rambo and Leroy y Stephen Morris y Alex James de Blur que intervienen en algunos temas.. El nombre de la banda proviene del film de 1992 Bad Lieutenant dirigido por Abel Ferrara.

Shot in post-Katrina New Orleans (presumably so that Herzog could take advantage of an atmosphere of decay and wreckage that no production design could match), Bad Lieutenant stars Nicolas Cage as Terence McDonagh, a cop who injures his back and becomes addicted to drugs.

It places him in a devastated New Orleans not long after Hurricane Katrina. It makes no attempt to show that city of legends in a flattering light.
