  5. GENE CORNISH Biography Born in 1944, in Ottawa, Canada, Cornish came into the world with music in his blood. His mother, Ada, was a singer for Big Bands, including those led by Woody Herman and Ozzie Nelson. Gene and his mother moved to Rochester, NY when he was a young boy. She married Ted Cornish, a successful bait & sporting goods store owner.

  6. He worked in various groups in northern New Jersey and New York, and actually succeeded his older brother David Brigati as a member of Joey Dee & the Starliters. After a year, he, Cavaliere, and guitarist Gene Cornish decided that they should try to form their own band, which they did with drummer Dino Danelli rounding out the quartet.

  7. Gene Cornish was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in May of 1945. Music was a part of his life from almost the start, since his mother was a professional singer during his childhood. While he was still very small he moved with her to the United States and soon settled in New York.
