Bedales School underwent a Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in May 2022. Key findings are summarised below, where there is a also a link to the full report. Educational Quality . The quality of the students' personal development is excellent.
Bedales School achieves consistently good academic results despite not being overly selective. In 2021, 65% of GCSE and BAC grades were 9-7 grades and 21% of A-Level grades were A grades. Not being keen on the GCSE curriculum (too restrictive!), Bedales School introduced the Bedales Assessed Courses (BAC).

Design at Bedales is a thriving and well-resourced subject taught cohesively but with specialist predominant disciplines of Product & Furniture, Jewellery and Fashion. Bedales has a strong history of strength in the creative arts with Design a popular subject taken seriously within the school ethos and able to boast numerous prominent professional designers amongst its alumni.
