19 de abr. de 2017 · 8. 3y*. Hal. 30. Thing Fish is undoubtedly the worst Zappa record, but not by how boring it is, but by being so unlistenable and annoying it becomes taxing to take on. The thing here is, Frank Zappa has explored these messages before; you get where he is going despite the odd packaging of the story, and you get the takeaway message way early.

To preface, I think Thing-Fish's legacy is permanently gimped by the fact that Frank was never able to get the Broadway (or off-Broadway) musical funded. However, one can get a look at what could have been by looking up the Playboy magazine with the Briefcase Boogie excerpt (NSFW!).
Thing-Fish is an album by Frank Zappa, originally released as a triple album box set on Barking Pumpkin Records in 1984.
