22 de sept. de 2020 · Curl-crested Araçari. The Curl-crested Araçari is part of the Ramphastidae family, better known as toucans. It is one of the 40-plus toucan species found from southern Mexico to South America. In a family known for its bright colors, this araçari might be the most stylish toucan, with its perm-like shiny head feathers.
5. Jaguar. This is the big cat par excellence of South America, and the Amazon rainforest is one of the Jaguar’s last remaining strongholds. Jaguar numbers are decreasing fast because of illegal hunting and loss of habitat. It’s estimated that only around 6000 individuals survive in the Peruvian Amazon.

The Beautiful South regrouped in 2003, with new recruit Alison Wheeler taking on the role of female singer. The lineup recorded Gaze in 2003, following it with 2004's Golddiggas, Headnodders and Pholk Songs , an album of unusually arranged cover tunes, including " Livin' Thing ", " You're the One That I Want ", " (Don't Fear) The Reaper " and "I'm Stone in Love With You".
