27 de jun. de 2017 · The lead-off single for Jah Wobble’s new album is a distinct echo from the past. First issued in 1978, Public Image was the debut 45 from PiL, the post-punk outfit formed by John Lydon in the wake of the Sex Pistols’ demise. Over its abrasive three minutes, Lydon poured scorn on his former colleagues over Keith Levene’s guitar and a classic rumbling bassline from Wobble.
Leben und Werk. Jah Wobble wuchs in Whitechapel in Londons East End auf, wo er während seiner Zeit an Londons Kingsway College unter anderem auf Sid Vicious und seinen späteren Bandkollegen John Lydon stieß. Nachdem Lydon die Sex Pistols 1978 verlassen hatte, rekrutierte er Wobble für seine neugegründete Post-Punk-Band Public Image Ltd (PiL), in der Wobble von Mai 1978 bis Juli 1980 ...
