28 de oct. de 2011 · Around 20, I read Jussi Kantonen's and Alan Jones's book "Saturday Night Forever: The Story Of Disco", an excellent book by the way, and found out that before the eighties hits, Grace was an underground disco diva who released three essential disco albums: "Portfolio" (1977), "Fame" (1978) and "Muse" (1979).

It was the last album of her disco trilogy with Tom Moulton, which began in 1977 with debut Portfolio. The first side of the album is a continuous medley of four songs, joined by a narrative about someone who has sinned.
An essential Grace Jones collectable for sure (the remastered audio and rare mixes are simply to die for) and any official boxset in Grace's catalogue is a very welcome and overdue addition. But sloppy typos / copy, minor sequencing errors on the discs and frustratingly sloppy artwork adaptations prevent this being the truly wonderful compendium and collectable this forgotten era rightfully ...

The Grace Jones outfit is basically a tangram puzzle dress. Kandy looks like she just put random geometric pieces together to make a cool shape, and that's more or less how she described it. She focuses on the first impression when she steps on to the runway but forgets about the fine details that matter after that impact moment.
