Andy Brown joined Mercersburg Academy in 2019 as a member of the math faculty before being appointed assistant dean of students in 2023. In addition to robotics, he has taught Maker’s Lab, Application Design, Open Topic, and Foundations of Technology.
Mercersburg rapidly grew in size and stature, gaining regional and national recognition. Through the Great Depression and World War II, the Academy prospered. In 1969, Mercersburg embraced coeducation, and the campus and the school’s offerings continued to grow, including new building projects that dominated the latter half of the 20th century.
Founded in 1893, Mercersburg Academy is an environment that allows young people to navigate their teenage years unfettered but supported and supervised.
