The saxophone combination of Vinson and tenor saxophonist Hal Singer is probably the highlight of Kidney Stew Is Fine. Also, there is KC piano legend Jay McShann which just adds to a very good album that is arguably better than Eddie Cleanhead’s Back Door Blues album when he was assisted by the Adderley Brothers, Cannonball and Nat, about 8 years earlier.
