  4. Not necessarily a ~serial killer~ by definition, but Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay shooter. As far as I know, investigators have been unable to determine a motive, and there’s no way to find out from him, either. This is a good example. It’s so frustrating how random it seemed.
