Despite the occasional wince from lyrics that can seem direct to the point of child-like and despite music that is stubbornly introspective without having quite the subtle expressiveness of Tim Buckley, this album is uniquely wonderful.

Een trio dus, zonder drums, wat wonderwel goed werkt. De bas en slaggitaar houden prima de maat waardoor de zang, dobro, sitar, harmonica etc. wat meer de ruimte krijgen.
