Martin Archer Shee (Dublín, 23 de diciembre de 1769-Brighton, 13 de agosto de 1850) fue un pintor, poeta y retratista irlandés que se desempeñó como presidente de la Real Academia de Arte.
Sir Martin Archer Shee PRA FRS (23 December 1769 – 13 August 1850) was an Irish portrait painter. He also served as the president of the Royal Academy.
22 de abr. de 2022 · Shee travelled to Paris in September 1802 with other artists to view the collections of artworks looted by Napoleonic armies and on display in the Louvre. He also had the opportunity to observe Napoleon at close hand, noting in his letters and journal his admiration for the French leader.
