Hace 5 días · Chapter two is about James Beckwourth, a gold rush pioneer and discoverer of the Beckwourth Pass in California. He was born into slavery in Virginia at the turn of the 19th century. His family moved to St Louis, Missouri, the gateway to the western frontier, where his father, who was white, signed his emancipation.
