As a long-time Londoner, I love the prescient plot (investing in the Docklands) considering the film was shot in 1979 at the same time as Thatcher entered number 10. It's so ahead of the curve given Thatcherism was yet a thing, the 1980s hadn't started and Canary Wharf wasn't even a twinkle in a developer's eye.
