It was the second special-ops unit to get created in the United States, fifteen years before DELTA. SEALs perform small-unit maritime military operations. They originate and return from a body of water like an ocean, sea, river, swamp, or coastline.

Kātiki Beach is nearby and so is the Kātiki Point Lighthouse. This is another good place to see seals as well as yellow-eyed penguins. There is so much to explore in Coastal Otago!
