Original Ben is allergic to not being a shithead, and even though he will do whatever it takes to help others, he's still narcissistic, impulsive, and selfish. Which I actually like. My opinion is when you don't want to punch Ben, you know he's serious. Whereas reboot Ben outgrows a lot of his negative qualities before the end of his show.
