7 de jul. de 2023 · Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is a nutritionally dense annual herbaceous post rainy season legume crop grown around the world for food, fodder, and feed (Parihar et al. 2020, 2022c, Lamichaney et al. 2021a, b).Fresh green seeds and pods are consumed as vegetables whereas mature dry seeds are used in diverse forms, i.e., whole, split, and flour (Parihar et al. 2023).

Due to its richness in a variety of nutritional and bioactive ingredients, the consumption of pea has been suggested to be associated with a wide range of health benefits, and there has been increasing focus on its potential as a functional food.
Artbeschreibung: Staengel 30 - 150 (- 200) cm, niederliegend oder kletternd, kahl, blaeulich-gruen. Blaetter paarig gefiedert, mit (1 -) 2 - 3 Fiederpaaren und verzweigter Ranke. Teilblaetter breit-oval, 2 - 6 cm lang. Nebenblaetter groesser als die unteren Teilblaetter, den Staengel mit grossen Zipfeln umfassend.
