Por qué se llama Chernobyl la central si está en Pripyat. El pueblo dónde está la planta se llama Pripyat y resulta que el pueblo lo hicieron después para que los trabajadores pudieran vivir más cerca de la planta pero realmente el pueblo más cercano cuándo se inauguró la central era Chernobyl por eso se le puso ese nombre a la central.

The Chernobyl NPP was meant to have 12 units, made up of 6 construction phases, and if completed would be the biggest nuclear power plant in the world. The plant would eventually consist of four RBMK-1000 reactors, each capable of producing 1,000 megawatts (MW) of electric power (3,200 MW of thermal power), and the four together produced about 10% of Ukraine 's electricity. After the terrible accident, the map of the Chernobyl exclusion zone has included all the territory around the plant, the towns of Chernobyl and Pripyat, as well as the villages of Polesskoye and Vilcha. The city of Pripyat is located 30 km from the power plant. It was founded specifically for engineers who worked at a nuclear plant.
