Course structure. The course consists of university-based teaching and 200 days of practice learning. In your first term you’ll be introduced to foundational social work knowledge, including contributions from the social sciences, such as psychology, sociology, social policy and politics, something which develops in greater depth as you progress through the course.
The course is flexible and allows you to exit with a postgraduate certificate (PGCert) after passing three modules (60 credits) or a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) after passing six modules (120 credits). You must complete the 60-credit research dissertation to qualify for the MSc. Health sciences postgraduate education.
Intro. This MA explores how contemporary politics, conflict and debates about human rights and security are informed by the processes of globalisation. You will study topics including human rights and humanitarian intervention, the world economy and the changing global order, global governance and the United Nation system.
