Men Without Hats is de naam van een Canadese new wave- en synthpopband die haar grootste succes in de jaren tachtig had. De band werd opgericht in 1976 in Montreal in Canada en had eerst de naam "Wave 21". In 1977 werd de naam van de band veranderd in "Men Without Hats". De leadzanger was Ivan Doroschuk en ook zijn broer Stefan maakte deel uit van de band.
Geschichte. Gegründet 1976 in Montreal als Wave 21, benannte die Gruppe sich 1977 in Men Without Hats um. Ihre erste Produktion war Anfang der 1980er Jahre die EP Folk of the 80s.Ihr größter kommerzieller Erfolg war der Song The Safety Dance aus dem Jahr 1982. Die erfolgreichsten Alben sind Rhythm of Youth sowie Pop Goes the World.In den 1990er Jahren verlor Synthesizermusik stark an Bedeutung.
