NO REVENGE NECESSARY No Revenge Necessary is an original multimedia opera by composer and director Yuka C. Honda. Combining acoustic and electronic music with film and more, the opera explores the relationship between humans and technology through the story of future people struggling to survive alongside artificial intelligence in an environmentally scarred future.

After the dissolution of Cibo Matto, Yuka Honda began working on her own music, as well as collaborating with other artists. Her solo debut, Memories Are My Only Witness, arrived in 2001 on Tzadik and featured former Cibo Matto musicians Timo Ellis and Duma Love.
One thing is certain, the sound of this recording is rich and beautiful! It’s not always possible to record on tape, but with this incredible live band, and two great engineers we pulled off the whole record in 3 days. I’ve been playing music with Yuka Honda since 1996 when I played bass in her band Cibo Matto.
Miho Hatori (羽鳥 美保, Hatori Miho, born in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and musician. She is best known as a solo artist, co-founder of New York City band Cibo Matto, and as the first person to provide the voice of Noodle in the virtual band Gorillaz, as well as for her work with the Beastie Boys, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Smokey Hormel, John Zorn, and many more.
