Following 10cc's self-titled debut album, Sheet Music took a big step toward the sound that would become the group's trademark. The record typifies the eclecticism and breathless invention that characterized 10cc's earlier work -- soft and fuzzed art-rock guitars, seamless harmonies, elements of spoof and parody, and shifts between musical genres (often within the same song).
10cc is the debut album by the British rock band 10cc, first released in 1973. ... The album in its entirety along with 2000's bonus cuts appeared, along with 10cc's second album, "Sheet Music" and all its released bonus cuts, on 2004 10cc – The Complete UK Recordings, on Varèse Sarabande Records.
Sheet Music became the band's breakthrough album, remaining on the UK charts for six months and paving the way for a US tour in February 1974. In February 1975, the band announced they were splitting with Jonathan King and that they had signed with Mercury Records for US$1 million. The catalyst for the deal was one song – "I'm Not in Love".
The first 5 10cc lps are all classics in their own way however this one (sheet music) happens to be the one with the most replay value for me. Naturally I own several variants from different countries and even different pressings for the original US and hands down think this double side Lee Hulko master is rivaled only by the 1st UK.

10cc Sheet Music. 10cc are an English art rock band who achieved their greatest commercial success in the 1970s. Initially comprising four musicians — Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme — who had written and recorded together for some three years, before assuming the “10cc” name in 1972.
