Proto and Post Punk vs Actual Punk. I've been listening to The Stooges a lot lately and i've come to the conclusion that I much prefer both proto and post punk to actual punk. Punk itself definitely had more cultural impact and overall significance, but honestly both proto and post are way more interesting sonically.
