Heinz Guderian, the son of an army officer, was born in Kulm, Germany, on 17th June, 1888. He joined the German Army and was commissioned in the Jaegers in 1908 where he became a communications specialist. He fought in the First World War and afterwards was a member of the right-wing Freikorps group.

Heinz Guderian was bom in 1888 in Kulm, on the Vistula River in what is now Poland. 30 de ago. de 2016 · In 1914, Guderian served as a Signals Officer in the 5th Cavalry Division. By the end of the war he was appointed to the General Staff Corps, where he hoped to practice his strategic skills, but the war ended sooner than he hoped it would. A veteran of WWI, Guderian strongly believed the war could’ve been continued, and perhaps even won.

Heinz Wilhelm Guderian (Kulm, 17. lipnja 1888. – Schwangau, 14. svibnja 1954.) bio je vojni teoretičar i inovativni njemački general tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata.
