(Image credit: DGM Archives) King Crimson have announced that they will release a new 50th anniversary edition of their fifth studio album, 1973's Larks Tongues In Aspic, which will be released through Panegyric Records on October 13.

23 de mar. de 2023 · With work on LTIA finished, the band played two nights at London’s Marquee Club. After the first live performance of 1973, on February 10th, Jamie Muir unexpectedly quit. Faced with the band’s grueling tour schedule for the months ahead, Muir concluded a path to spiritual enlightenment was preferable.
His unrestrained flow of activity became the focal point of Crimson's 1972 live performances, with both the audience and his fellow musicians never knowing what was going to happen next. At the beginning of 1973, the band entered the studio to attempt to capture this whirlwind of energy, resulting in one of the most significant albums in its catalogue, the Muir-named Lark's Tongues in Aspic .
