Doxycycline taken after condomless sex as post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is a promising intervention. Earlier investigation has shown doxycycline PEP led to ~ 2/3rds reduction in syphilis and chlamydia (CT) in MSM taking intermittent HIV PrEP but was not effective for gonorrhea (GC).
