Adolph Zukor. Adolf Cukor (Adolph Zukor) (January 7, 1873 – June 10, 1976) was a pioneering film mogul and founder of Paramount Pictures. Zukor was a key figure in the development of the powerful studio system that ran Hollywood from the late 1920s through the 1960s. He was known as the "father of the feature film in America."
