Dr. Burwell was born on July 2, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan., to Raymond and Marguerite (Ramsey) Burwell. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Myrna; three sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Annette of Elkhorn, Jeff and Cindy Burwell of Norfolk and Mike and Sandra Burwell of David City.
This is a collection of written interactions between Jimmy Burwell and Bill Wilson that span from 1940 through to 1965. Jimmy’s story (“A Vicious Cycle”) can be found in the Fourth Edition of the Big Book on page 219. Jimmy started AA group #4 in Philadelphia and their first meeting was on February 28, 1940. March 1, 1940.
