Gilles Bensimon, (b. 1944), French photographer based in New York. For many years Gilles Bensimon was International Creative Director and Head Photographer at Elle Magazine and founder of American Elle, but he has also worked for other magazines such as Vogue and Harper´s Bazaar.

À 79 ans, le neveu d’Iris Clert et petit-fils de marchands d’art, se réinvente avec le dessin sur papier, une pratique qui l’a accompagné, secrètement, depuis l’enfance.
Elle Macpherson est shootée par les plus grands photographes. De 1985 à 1989, elle est mariée au photographe de mode français Gilles Bensimon.
