When she published this album, Loelia Lindsay was one of six women alive who at one time or other bore the title of Duchess of Westminster. She was born with what many people considered a silver spoon in her mouth. Her father, Sir Frederick Ponsonby, was a key figure in the households of Queen Victoria, Edward VII and George V.
Regardless, Loelia moved on with her life. She devoted her time to being a professional hostess (one who throws parties and invites the very best, it would seem) as well as enjoying her favourite hobbies of needlework and gardening. She married again in 1969, this time to Sir Martin Lindsay, and was with him until his death in 1981.
