Stephen "Steve" Friedman (born December 21, 1937) is an American intelligence officer and businessman. He was the former chairman of the United States President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. He was nominated on October 27, 2005, to replace Brent Scowcroft in the position.

Stephen Friedman. SENIOR CHAIRMAN. Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the private equity and financial services industries. Steve is the Senior Chairman at Stone Point Capital and a member of the Investment Committees of the Trident Funds. Steve joined Stone Point in 1998.
