Montana also parted ways, on friendly terms, with the Prairie Ramblers in 1940. From 1946 to 1947 the American Broadcast Corporation (ABC) hosted her network radio program, Wake up and Smile, and in 1948, she joined Louisiana Hayride. She also toured throughout the 1940s and 1950s with her two daughters as the Patsy Montana Trio.
