Cover of the first DVD volume. Rideback is a Japanese anime television series based on Tetsurō Kasahara's manga series of the same name. The anime was announced in April 2007. The twelve-episode series was animated by Madhouse and directed by Atsushi Takahashi. It was broadcast on Chiba TV, TV Saitama, tvk, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, Tokyo MX and AT-X from January 12 to March 30, 2009.

After ex-dancer Rin trades her stage career for college life, she forms an unusual connection with a robotic RideBack motorcycle—Fuego. As a tyrannical new government oppresses the population and crushes civil liberties, Rin may have no choice but to gun Fuego’s engines and speed directly into the heart of the fight for freedom.
Set in 2020, Rideback tells the story of a college student named Rin Ogata and her "iron horse" robot motorcycle (rideback) called "Fuego", in a tumultuous time of anti-government student protests.
28 de jun. de 2011 · I bought Mell's Rideback single last year and so naturaly I checked into the anime. I can't say I was impressed. However, I got it recently--the price was right so I figured what the hey? I was glued to the TV from the first episode. It is only twelve episodes, so the character development is condensed but still good.
