23 de abr. de 1979 · ABBA. POP · 1979. Preview. After a string of international hits, ABBA had polished its trademark Eurodisco-cum-American pop sound to an almost blinding sheen. Voulez-Vous (1979) represents some of the last creative gleanings in this direction; subsequent releases by the Swedish foursome would betray more of a modern rock influence.
That sixth album, entitled Voulez-Vous upon its release, would turn out to be particularly challenging. It would take more than a year before it was finished – a longer recording period than any other ABBA album – and, during the 12 months of sessions, in their quest for the very best tunes, they would record and dismiss more songs than for any other LP.

I think ABBA has some of the greatest songs. Voulez-Vous shows ABBA on their disco roots. The whole album isn't disco but most of it is. The only thing I wish they did on this new editon of Voulez-Vous album is make "Summer Night City" the long version. The long version is 10 times better. It starts out soft and then goes right into disco.
