  2. Inside Mr. Enderby is the first book in a series Anthony Burgess started in 1963. It was published under a pseudonym before Burgess claimed the books. The first, Inside Mr. Enderby, was followed by Enderby Outside, The Clockwork Testament, or Enderby’s End, and Enderby’s Dark Lady, or No End to Enderby.

  3. Anthony Burgess (1917-1993) was a novelist, poet, playwright, composer, linguist, translator and critic. He is best known for his novel A Clockwork Orange (1962), but altogether he wrote thirty-three novels, twenty-five works of non-fiction, two volumes of autobiography, three symphonies, more than 250 other musical works, and thousands of essays, articles and reviews.
