15 de feb. de 2011 · In 1961 a hot little combo calling themselves Rick & the Ravens emerged in Los Angeles. They played a mix of originals and covers, in a light garage band style that crossed over into surf and blues. The lineup was originally Rick Manczarek on guitar, Jim Manczarek on organ and harmonica, Patrick Stonier on saxophone, Roland Biscaluz on bass and Vince Thomas on drums.
17 de may. de 2008 · Aura Records had seen that the previous single that Rick & The Ravens had released was not doing so well, so rather than going to the expense of pressing another single and watching it most likely fail, the record company had decided to give The Doors free studio time. The Doors spent three hours in the studio and recorded six demos.
